About

Innovation-led energy solutions

The energy transition is demanding low-cost, lower carbon, flexible and enduring solutions. To help meet the challenge the Kwinana Energy Transformation Hub (KETH) will soon be established in Western Australia.

A state-of-the-art industrial-scale research and training facility, the KETH will drive new innovations, help future-proof Australia’s energy exports and de-carbonise our energy sector.

Energy solutions won’t be found overnight – so at KETH we are using a “4D” mindset to meet this challenge:

  • Demonstrate and de-risk by testing at scale.
  • Decarbonisation and improving efficiencies must underpin everything.
  • A Decade timeframe is required to prove and commercialise new technologies.

Who we are

None of this is possible without our people – within KETH, our participating companies and organisations and broader community.

Our Principles

Innovation and demonstration are central to the future of the LNG and the hydrogen sectors.

History

The KETH is a key project of the Future Energy Exports Co-operative Research Centre (FEnEx CRC), an Australian not-for-profit research organisation.

Safety & Environment

KETH supports a culture of safety and environmental stewardship that strives for best-practice performance.

Supporting locals

Ensuring Australian industry is given a full, fair and reasonable opportunity to bid for work on our project.
